2003 200 PRO XL : Rod Tube Removal?

My 2003 200 PRO XL is in the shop for jack plate repair, so I cannot look at it just yet. Does anyone know if removing the rod tubes is an easy job on these? I hear that some manufacturers lock them in via foam, and others don't. Has anybody tackled this? I hate rod tubes. How am I supposed to fit 37 combos in my boat with rod tubes? :-p

    Thx in advance.

I have a 2007 200xl and the tubes came out with just a couple of screws. Lots more room. I use socks and can get 30 in there I bet.

Whew. I was just reading a bunch of nitro forums where they lock them in with marine foam. It sounded like a complete nightmare. Hoping my Stratos is screws like you guys said. Thank you!

I plan on ditching mine as soon as I get it back home. I've got an '05 200, so they're likely going to be the same.

I have a 2016 Pro XL Evolution, rod tubes popped out with 4 screws. My buddy has a 2007 201 ProXL, and the rod tubes came out with a few screws as well. Hopefully yours arent foamed in! Gotta have room for at least 37 combos

I have a 2003 200, just 4 screws holding it in. Does anyone have the driver side tubes? I'd love to get the whole setup, plate and tubes of I can. Thanks, Clayton

That's what I was going to do. But if people are pulling them out, that would be easier.
