    Septic Tank

I was looking at buying a lake house. The lady said that there is no septic tank only a holding tank. What is a ball park figure on getting one put in?

$3500 if the perk test has good results. $10,000 plus with bad results. On a lake there is a very good chance you can’t install one at any price.

I am going out on a limp here and say with all current state laws you are probably going to need a Aerobic Septic System

If the house (if on KY Lake) is close to the TVA elevation line of 381', then you are NOT allowed to have a septic system because of lack of yard area on the lot for this system. Therefore, you must have a holding tank and get it pumped out often.
