721 slam latches?

Can the 721 be ordered with the slam latches like the elite and phx comes with?

I tried to order them with my 721 and they said no...only for phx

I spoke with Weidas Marine I believe it was, and they offered the option.

I was told yes by my dealer and that they were $100 each. Then, I spoke to Tim Trockenbrot on the phone a few weeks back. He said that my dealer was mistaken and that they are not offering any slam latch upgrades for the 721.

the location of the hole for the latch is to far back from the edge for the slam latches on a 721, sense those holes are not drilled by hand it would require a different set of lids with proper hole alignment. the PHX and elites come standard with the slam latches only requiring one set of lids

seems like they could knock the hole in the lid for them in correct place for a charge but i get it.

I was also told my Phoenix last year that I could NOT order a new 721 with slam latches
