    serial number

Is the serial/model number stamped anyplace besides the sticker on the stern bracket?
Any way to get a replacement?

Bought a pair of mid 90's, non running V6 last summer. I want to get them running and resell but the ID tags on one are missing. They were painted over and I removed with Acetone. but, the tag itself is missing.

Look on the back of the block there should be a welsh plug just above the bubble. That will have the serial number stamped on it. Model number may or may not be there also.

Call BRP with that number, they may be able to help, most of the old serial numbers data was flushed when BRP acquired OMC. Good luck. If they can't help post some pictures of the motors with the cowls off of them.

BRP says the powerhead was replaced at some point but cant id the motor. It was paired with a 97 225 that had its id tag. The air silencer is different though20200305_111808.jpg20200305_111833.jpg
