    Prop help

have a 98 Stratos 273, with an 93 Evinrude 115. I plan to repower eventually but the bank account says no right now. I know she won't be winning any boat races but I'm trying to get as much as I can out of her without breaking the bank. Currently have a 15p solas aluminum prop, and getting about 38mph loaded, currently unsure of rpms as my tach has been flaking out, but before it crapped out I do remember that rpms were higher than they should be. Wanting to get a stainless prop, but wondering if I should go up a bit in pitch. If anybody has any recommendations I'd much appreciate it. Disclaimer: I got this boat as basically a big hunk of fiberglass and I've been slowly bringing her back to life, with a 9 month halt in progress for deployment.

Get your tach working, until it is you won't know what you've got.
Everything depends on your prop, until its right, nothing else will be right.
I'd be consulting a pro prop guy, Mark on the prop page here or Josh at Steve's prop on lake Fork. I'm thinking a 19 0r 20" small hub raker with a loving touch should be finding your potential, which should be around 50.

Appreciate the help, I'll see what I can do about getting the tach working and I'll get back to this post.
