    Carving and building crankbaits.

Haven’t got out in the shop and carved a Crankbait in about 10 years or so. Crappy weather this past weekend, I got the itch again to do some whittling. I carved, built and painted two flat side cranks. I cut the bill slots in two different positions. I want to see the different action and depth of them.

Tested them out today. The squarebill has great tight thumping action. Very happy with the results. Dives down to around 5-6ft. The smaller one with the bill straight out dives down around 10ft. Has very tight action. Happy with both.

Very nice. Might need an arm sling when you get home and the fish have messed your arm up.
