    two questions

    1-- what is the ground screw for on back 106 sv
    2 if i add uhd black box and my network expander is full can i run it in to my 106sv network port reason for uhd box is to make my two 93 plus units uhd

    1) I had the same question. Garmin told me it is to eliminate interference from the bail mount. I suspect because the bail mount on the ultra units are metal. The Live Scope black box has the same ground terminal. They told me this ground wire should attach to a water ground rather than battery ground. The 93SV's don't have this ground as their mounts are plastic.

    Until I wired my Live Scope black box I'd never heard of a water ground. For what its worth...I hooked this ground lug on my Live Scope box and my Ultra unit to battery ground.

    i hooked my live scope to battery ground also never heard of water ground

    i hooked my LS box to battery NEGATIVE but, the motor is hooked up there as well as the sacraficial anodes on the motor, so thats my water ground haha, side note my gpsmap922 has a plastic "bail "mount but still has a ground off the back. i did not use this one.
