    What gauge wire that runs to power is on an Ultrex?

    6 or 8 Gauge. 6 if you plan to run new. Check your boat it should have 8 already and you should be good. Put a 60 amp breaker near the batteries if you don't have one. Don't cut your self short, so it would cost you in the long run.

    Why does the smallwire gauge concern you....it is only a short length having little voltage loss and for fire safety carries the maximum amperage needed.

    It's not the small wire that concerns me. I need to connect my ultrex to power and the connection requires small ring terminals that must be small enought to fit in the connection and on the stud. I need to order the right size that's all.

    I still don't know if it's 8 or 10 gauge? It's not 6
