    Champion to stratos

Thinking about a move from a champion to stratos, any comparison would be helpful, ride, storage fit and finish and what kind of speeds, 201 xle with 250 evinrude. Thanks

Really depends on how well it’s set up and what gearcase is on the rude. Should run in the 70’s all day if set up right. They ride very well in rough water and the storage is great. The evo hulls are a little slower than the older hulls but they have a softer ride in rough water. Both are great all around boats.

There is a few versions of the 201 but they all have one thing in common. The 201 was always considered the flagship ride in the Stratos line up.

I have a 2016 201 Evolution with 250 Merc ProXS and I get 73 full load. My buddy has 2007 201ProXL w/250 E-tec and gets close to the same with full load.

The 201 evo or 201 pro boats are comparable, fast, stable ride, and lots of storage.
