Im in the same boat... ordered a vexus 1980 midnight oil 3rd week of January. Took advantage of the evinrude boat show sale, got $2k off and the 7 year warranty. Put an ultrex up front paired with two humminbird helix 9s. Opted for the dual consoles for the wife and kid.
Very excited, gonna be my first boat.

I ordered mine in red with 150 ProXS Force TM Garmin Ultra 106sv on bow 9sv in dash and Panoptix.
Plenty to do:
Practice smiling so your cheeks don’t get tired when your boat arrives.
Practice saying Thank you to all the compliments you will be getting.
Practice saying It’s a Vexus and yes it is an aluminum boat.
Try to find a person to drive you to the lake so you can watch everyone turn their heads at your boat as it goes by.
Practice talking about your boat while filling it up at the gas station and at the boat ramp.
Practice driving by the gas pump because they are so light and efficient you may only need gas every third trip.
Practice hugging your wife for letting you buy this amazing boat.

Glad you liked it sclark. These are all things I’ve experienced since owning my AVX1980/G2. My wife is actually the one who notices the men turning and staring at my Vexus as it goes by. I love my Vexus!
