    gpsmap to gpsmap livescope

    can i link 2 gpsmap 1242xsvs together to use 1 livescope with out the networking box just a ethernet cable and see livescope on each unit ,

    Apologies for getting sharp with you on the other thread.

    It depends on the units. Some GPSMAP units only have one network port (942xs), while most have two. You just have to count the network ports. One network cable connecting the units allow them to share sonar and waypoints and more. You just have to have enough ports to plug everything. The 1242xsv has 2 network ports. So the GLS10 can plug into one and the other can be used to network another GPSMAP unit. On the Garmin website, if you look up a specific unit, under the specs tab it will tell you have many network ports it has.
