    Hds live 12

    I have a live 12 at the front of my boat. The transducer I'm using only does down imaging. I would like to have sonar too. What are my options? What's everyone else running?

    Check the tag on the transducer cable for the part number and tell us what it says. The part number is close to the plug that goes into the back of your unit.

    Choose 83/200/455/800-HDI or Med/high-HDI on the correct channel under Sonar-Installation and you will have both 2D and DownScan.

    My 12 Live didn't get me an option for transducer on channel 2. It has the HDI grayed out.

    That is because the transducer is auto recognized and you don't have to select it. All the 9 pin connectors are like that.
