    Switching to Garmin

Question for the folks that have Garmin units networked together in their boats.

I am switching from 3 Lowrance units to dual Garmin units at the bow and dual at the console + livescope 32 (black box).

The question I have is on networking. Each unit has two network ports.

Can I go from one console unit to the other console to one bow to the other bow to the LS box all in series without a network hub?

If not why and if I can....but its a bad idea.....why on that as well.

Thanks in advance for any help.

You dont mention what units but with 2 ports per unit its either Ultra map series or GPSMap series.

That will be a total of 8 ports. You will be able to connect all units together plus the LS box without using the GMS10 expander. The LS box does NOT have extra ports so that will need to be connected to one of the units.

Also...not that it matters a Force trolling motor.

    Appreciate the help.
