I know most will argue this but I use EWGs. I don’t find that I miss fish and feel better getting them to the boat

On a Jerkbait it is round bend all day everyday. Not going to pretend I know enough about what topwater your talking about. Ewg on frogs I guess haha

Round bend on both. Since many hits are slack line hits, the round bend is much better at sticking them.

It depends on the time of year. Spring thru about mid summer i like EWG Triple Grips. But about mid summer once our Indiana lakes have been hammered with pressure and a billion tournaments and theyve seen a million baits i like to switch to round bend. After they have been pressured alot and they start just slappong at baits thats when i like the round bends i feel like the hook up is better when they slap at it and dont really commit.

I agree with the gist of Dusty's post. I'll throw them with an EWG when fish are getting the bait good and I'm more concerned with losing them - I've found you're far less likely to lose a fish on an EWG. Otherwise, when I'm more concerned about hooking the fish when they hit it planning to worry about getting them in the boat after that happens (which is most of the time), I prefer round bends.
