    Seat poles?

Are the seat poles on a 2010 tracker 175 supposed to lock in place? The ones that came with my boat just slide down into the hole and the seat just sits on top of it. I wouldn't think it would be safe to go down the lake like that, the seats are also wobbly.

My 11' the posts screw in. The seat just slides into the post or base.

Those look like aftermarket seats and poles. The ones that came with my boat were screw in. I did purchase a taller post for my pedestal seat and those were just push in.

I am pretty sure the seats are factory, the poles may not be, and the hole in the floor that the seat goes into has no threads.

The threads are near the bottom.

You can buy threaded bases, seems like a lot of work though considering the carpet looks to be in good shape. Guess you could just trim around the base and have an exposed base.

Unthreaded bases are fine unless you are going to be in really rough water all the time or unless you have a 115 or something larger on that 175. My dad’s old boat has unthreaded bases and in 30 years it has never been a problem. You should not have much wobble in them though. Maybe something is worn.

My 2005 TV18 came w/unthreaded bases. Even when new there
is wobble in the post. I took them out and replaced them w/threaded bases.
Mfg put this style in because they save a few cents between the threaded
and the unthreaded models. The vast majority stand to fish, so they could
care less about the post base. I have never been comfortable standing to fish,
so therefore a threaded post base is a must have for me. Your mileage may
    vary. LDS

I talked to the local Tracker dealer and the recommended getting new poles and screw in bases. I want to get an adjustable pole for the front along with a leaner seat, any recommendations on what brand to use and where to buy from?

The adjustable post is swivel eze. The adj seat base that will move from nearly 90 deg
to flat is what I have but the brand escapes me. It maybe swivel ease also. They came from BPS

The power pedestals are good as
long as they work, but their life is sometimes short.
The post w/the pin w/an adj hole every couple of
    inches just doesnt fail. LDS

I bit the bullet and ordered, two threaded pedestal bases, threaded pole and seat mount for the rear, and a power pedestal and seat for the front. Now if I can just figure out how to cut the carpet to replace the bases and put it back so it looks decent.
