    Where is the 818?

Is Phoenix close to releasing this boat? It has been on their site for some time but have yet to see or hear much about it. Looks to be a very promising boat and I’m sure will be a good seller for them.

No information on this boat? It’s even boat show season and no chatter on when we might see this boat?

I'm curious as well. We have had a thread on here about 4 weeks ago with someone looking for 618's and can't find them or any 818's. Makes me wonder what Phx is doing.

In the making. Probably start seeing in 6-8 weeks. Is taking the place of the 618 Pro.

I ordered one last week based on size of garage, and 618 reviews. I was told same boat just a touch wider front deck up to the nose. Was also told no more 618, the 818 is taking its place. I am surprised the lack of info they are putting out. I will be able to know more when it arrives 6-7 weeks out. Fingers crossed....

What motor and HP did you go with? Wonder how much wider it will be up front from the 618?

I did mercury 175 pro, and I honestly do not know what the changes are. Seems like everyone is saying same thing, but nobody has one yet to give info.

since maybe 2016 the 175 has been the only real option so I think the only decision is what MFG. The 150 is what I have on my 2014 and what it is rated for and performs great. That said, soon as they installed the 175max in that boat you would hurt your resale putting anything less.

What are some thoughts on price difference on the 818 with 175 Mercury ProXS versus the 819 with 200 Mercury ProXS.? Assuming all options were the same.

    Why does the 818 not have 200 rating? I E Triton trx 18 18 foot 8 inch 94 beam, new Caymus 18gts 18foot 6 inch 94 beam . Just curious.

Caymus 18gts only 175 ( according to dealer when I looked ) not sure if the added weight/length on the triton lets it do the 200. Kinda like the ranger z518 for years was 150hp rated ( unless you paid additional 10k for it to say Comanche) but same boat this year you can get 200. Not really sure to be honest. I always ran rangers, but this year decided to order a bird.

I maybe wrong but coast guard sets horse power by beam and length not sure if weight matters.

I think the 618 was rated for 200 a few years back.

i am sure the 818 could get a 200hp limit if Phx wanted too because the Ranger 518 has one and the boats will be very similar. I think this is marketing. My 618 model says 150hp max rating yet guys before and after I ordered got an insert that said 175 if you wanted a 175.

Nice looking boats. Would definitely prefer the 175 ProXS. This model is on my short list of boats I’m trying to decide on.
