Been awhile since I've been on here but thought I would share my progress and was looking for people that have built a removable conversion deck for the front of a fish and ski.

I converted my FNS to a dual console along with adding a deck extension. It was a labor of love, toughest part was getting the lids to open outward instead of inward. Then building them up to match the front casting deck. I've got pictures everywhere I'll see if I can dig them up..
The OP mentions removable. A removable conversion would be really interesting!!!!
Yeah I was kinda thinking of a functuonal drop in platform that can be easliy removed when the family wants to go play. Built up to match the existing platform. Pictures of someone converting would definately be helpful in my planning.

I used Kingwood cut into strips to build the lids to match the front deck then used old Minn Kota TM shafts to go between the opening and attached a piece of plywood with epoxy/fiberglass then carpeted easy to remove/install. The big trick was to change the opening of the lids. The cushions open inside, the bass lids open outwards.
Is your entire conversion removable so you can still use it as a FnS, Fred? That's pretty cool!
Yep, open the rod lockers and the extension comes right out. If I had the cushions they could go right in.
That is awesome, Exactly what I want to do.... Thanks for sharing!
