    AVX Center Rod Locker

    Any owners on here attempt to remove the middle rod locker tubes to make it a large single opening for more rods to fit in. More curious than anything. Just kicking around the idea bc hey it’s winter and I’m in Ohio 😂😂

    I have have not tried it as my boat has yet to be delivered.

    However, I will tell you it's likely a doable PIA. I got to tour the factory on 2/3 as my boat was supposed to be ready for pick up that day but unfortunately it was not. As part of the tour we were show various stages of the production process. One of those stage was the foaming in of the rod tubes.

    I think ink a guy could remove the trolling motor pedal recess, and the rod tube support cut the tube and hack the foam out. I don't know how much more length you'd get though.

    Saw that on a tour as well, and I agree with the PIA. I did it on one boat that had foamed in tubes before and it was a tedious job. Hours and hours more work than I bargained for. Looking to fit a couple more rods in there more so than gaining length
