My cousin and part time fishing partner just installed the mac daddy garmin 1226 i think and new panoptics at the bow and console of his boat. I have lowrance on my boat and it works ok but i would really like to add a 12 inch graph with panoptics. My question is what is the difference in all the different series of graphs

Just went through what your doing. You'll get alot of help and opinions here but you need to go to the Garmin website and take your time and compare the different models and options for yourself. It can be very confusing!! I spent months doing research before ordering mine. When you get close to figuring it out then ask here and these guys can clarify for you.
