    Tempest on a Z520?

    2011 Z520 with a 2011 250 XS 2stroke
    Currently running a 25p Fury 3 blade
getting 70-72 mph around 6000-6200 rpm on my best day.
My prop is a little dinged up so I talked to my Dealer about replacing it and having the old one worked for a spare. he recommended a Tempest 25
saying it will carry the load better and more bow lift.
Has anyone tried the tempest 25 and prefer it over the fury?

A 25 tempest is too small. They came from the factory (I had a 2012 Z520 250 Merc) with a 26 Tempest. Most guys are running 25 Fury 3 blades with an extra (3) 5/16" vent holes drilled to help with holeshot. I was always told to run pitch lower Fury than Tempest.

I have a 16 z520c. Have run both props, i like them both but do prefer the tempest. Mid range speed the boat rides higher and lift better and that’s where I drive mostly. Don’t tournament fish much. If those are your rpms with a fury, yes get the 26”

And send your 25” fury to mark Croxton, it’ll be better than new!

BEST money you can spend, have him BB (balance/blueprint) and you will love it.

Thanks Guy's, I am just going to have Mark tune up this Fury prop instead of buying another.
What is his rate to balance/blueprint and add a little more cup for lift?

What about a Razor prop by Mark?
Has anyone tried one and what pitch if you liked it?
