Got it broke in, runs strong mid.70s no problem. water rising her lots off trash , might have a little more just to much drift, so ill let it rest till the lake grts in a better shape.

You know everybody has there idea of that. its deck is raised a little higher than most which gives you a good view. Good stable plat form. Sit good in the water , drafts real shallow.
What RPM’s are you running at WOT?
RPM 6000
Sharp fast boat. A very close friend of mine just sold one of his houses, I asked him to buy me a new bass boat. He bought me a lottery ticket. If I hit I will put a Suzuki 250 on it.
Guess I'll just have to be happy with my 175DF for now.
HOPE you hit it.
I've had wonderful luck out of two DF175, BUT the only issue I've encountered with them both is that with the gearing being so stout if you get any type of stick or wood trash in the prop it will bend the cavitation plate. You know how Cumberland is in the spring in the bends it is a trash pile with debris as far as the eye can see. I don't know if they use a softer metal than other manf or if it is the gearing and it doesn't allow any slipping.
That was the only flaw in the them that I experienced and they were difficult to prop for maximum performance. Also, I wish more experienced dealers would start to carry them, so there would be an ample supply of servicing dealers. I think you would more of them on the water if there were more dealers. I loved how quite they are on the water. I've left mine running a few times when stopping to fish, since it was so quite, and I forgot that I'd left it running.
For me it would be a toss up between a Suzuki and Yamaha for me. I think those are the top two four strokes on the market for now.
