    Repower

    I have a 2007 Bass Tracker PT 175TXW with a Mercury 50hp. I want to repower my boat and put a brand new Mercury 75hp 4 stroke. I have 2 questions for you all. First, should I put any kind of jackplate on my boat when I repower? Second, I have a quoted price of approximately $9,000.00 for the new motor plus rigging and labor does this seem like a fair price?

    Last price I saw on a 75 was 9K. The 75 is 100+ pounds heavier than what you have now.
