    WTB Bass boat locally

He just purchased a Triton. Thanks for the ideas.

I've got a friend that is looking to buy a bass boat, prefers it to be relatively close (in ky or northern TN) so he can look it over. I thought I'd post for him here to see if anyone is selling something he is looking for.

    Budget: $15,000
    Length: 19'-21'
    HP: 200-250HP
    Motor: Yamaha or Mercury

Not brand specific, just something that runs good and is in solid shape.

Longest sales description ever.... I'm with you, I have my doubts about that one being legit.

Awful close to you. Wouldn't be too hard to check it out. It has been posted for a while tho.

If he can bump that budget to up around the 20k mark I think that will reveal a lot more options and legitimately reliable boats IMO

Listed as Lucas, KY which is right on Barren River Lake but the tag registration is from Georgia. It very well could be they took it in on trade and never removed the GA tags. There appears to be a school and a business in the background on some of the pictures but I am not familiar enough will all the things in Lucas, Ky to recognize if they are actually in Lucas...as for me personally that boat looks a little rough. It has tons of sun damage, needs the seats re-done. Pretty much needs a comesmitc make over on the outside.

It is legit, I see it every day on my way home, it is directly across from Austin Tracy Elem. school. He bought it years ago and apparently never put KY registration numbers on it. It sits uncovered as much as it is covered.

Don't think the XB motor were that good. Just what I heard.

From what I remember, the Pro XB was a very desirable high performance engine, but it will break you at the gas (and oil) pump! Obvious that boat hasn't been taken care of, would definitely have the motor checked out by a good mechanic before buying, but if that engine is sound that baby would fly.

Agree...the XB was a EFI which is different technology than the more efficient DFI motors (optimax). They were strong and reliable but drank fuel like a drunken sailor.

I have a friend who just passed away, his wife has a 2004 Triton 21HP with a new G2 250 with the 10 year warranty, new trolling motor, carpet, electronics and seats. It will be more than 15 grand but with all the new stuff added it would make some one a good rig.
