I've never owned an etec and I am looking at a boat that as a 12 etec 175. Any common issues with these motors and anything in particular I should check out? How many hours would yall consider to many to buy?

Common issues are the are great motors, have no hesitations about the motor. Like any boat purchase you should get a compression test and a current engine readout.
