    Smallmouth in Norman?

    Anyone ever caught one? I've heard rumors but never caught one at Norman myself.

    About every 10 years you hear of one. I did use to catch some pretty trout that were left over from striper season

    There was one weighed in at a bfl one year that weighed around 4lbs.

    Yes. I caught one myself, 2 pounds. About 10 years ago a guy in the club I was in at the time caught a 4 pounder. I hoping that eventually they would cross breed with the spots like the LM did. That would be incredible.

    Not Norman, but, two very nice smallies were caught on Tillery during the FoM event.. one of them belonged to the number 1 team.. pic in their website.

    If you want to catch meanmouths go to James. Spots are taking off and they are breeding with smallmouth.

    Few years ago we fished the state tournament there in October and the big fish of the tournament was a 4+ smallmouth that a guy weighed in right before me.
