    Question Neutral Prop Spin?

Just had all the seals completely replaced on my l/u on Friday. Used to be the prop would spin fairly easily while in neutral. Now, it takes some effort to get it to turn. Is this common? Maybe my old seals were worn out and that is why it spun as much as it did? 1999 FICHT 225.

The new seals would cause this to a certain degree. Sometimes, if whoever did your seal change. gets a complete kit, without realizing, they will mix the small shaft seals with the large shaft (Introduced in late 1991) and these seals will tighten up on the shaft and cause this. The small shaft ('91 and back) measures 1 3/16". The late shaft is 1 1/4" The correct seals are #334950

Yes, If this is what happened, The seals will not seal and the tighter friction will burn them.
