    Continuous alarm?

I am having a continuous alarm on my 2004 XR6 150hp. I have good water coming out and thermostats seem to be opening and closing like they should. I know it can also be an oil issue. The picture is from the starter side of the motor and I looks like a line is off the T connector but I can not find anything off. The motor runs as it always has and does not loose power when the alarm comes on. I would love to check everything I can and maybe fix whatever I can with out having to take it to the shop. Any ideas? Thanks

Your 2.5L Engine is covered in the next forum down.

The 3rd nipple on that fitting is intentionally open, and should not have anything on it.

You said you have a "continuous" warning. There are three warnings:

    -SOLID TONE (BEEEEEEEEEEEEP)

    -Four Beeps, Pause, Four Beeps....

    -Fast Beeping

    Each has a different meaning.....

Solid Tone is a CRITICAL Warning, indicating to shut the engine down until corrected. OVERHEAT is the most common cause.
