    1994 Mariner 225 Not Charging

My motor is not charging. I checked the fuse and all the connections to begin with, including resistance through the alternator. Assumed it wasn't working so replaced the alternator. Still isn't working.

Before it wouldn't run after I jumped it once it went dead. Now, once I jump it it will run but still isn't charging the battery (which is brand new and I've had checked).

Any ideas on what to check?

If you would, please take a moment to review the Announcements at the top of the Forum, and be sure to provide the Required Info (serial number) when posting. Thanks!

Voltage at the small wires in the connector for the alternator (key on)?

What is the voltage at the large output terminal on the alternator, engine RUNNING?

Ground strap or case ground CLEAN and SOLID?
