Electronics mounted on starboard bow panel

I have a new to me 2019 Z20 and looking to add a second humminbird to the bow. The marine starboard bow panel looks to be on 1/4 thick. Is that thick enough to handle a helix 10 on the gimbal mount? Thanks for yalls imput.

I have a single Helix12 mounted on my bow plate with the stock gimbal mount, no problems at all..
I can't comment on mounting 2 units up there, on an over under or side by side mount. I would strongly consider a precision bow plate or something similar if you do go with 2..

My first unit is actually on a deck-it mount over the recess for foot pedal. If I mount to the starboard with the second unit it will be in line and in view. I was just concerned that the plastic is to thin for a helix 10 with possibility of bow bouncing in rough water.

They mount them that way from the factory, it'll be fine.

The panel is plenty thick enough to handle the 12 mounted but...... I had issues with the screws that were used for the panel. Many on them got pulled/stripped. They are too small to handle the pounding of running in rough water with a 12 on it. I replaced all the screws with larger ones, do not remember what size off-hand, and have not had any issues since.

I would use machine stainless steel screws with 2 Stainless Steel washers each and lock nuts, do not use sheet metal screws.....

I've run the double stack mount on several mounted directly to the factory plate up front with dual 12s. Just be sure to use ss screws, large fender washers and nylock nuts and you're good to go.
