    ADD AN EXTRA BATTERY JUST FOR LIGHTS AND ELECTRONICS

    I was wandering what changes I would have to make to add an extra battery. I have a tr 196 triton with a tempest 25 pitch prop

    Doubt you would notice a difference as long as your not hauling around a 100's of pounds of gear.

    I tried to do this with my 2001 Ranger and Mercury EFI after experiencing battery issues. I soon learned that for some reason a common ground was needed between the starting battery and the second battery I added. I did not spend much time figuring out what was the cause. Decided it was best that I stick with my singles battery and get a battery booster in case I lost too much charger. I now have a new 4 stroke and the amp output is 4 times that of the old EFI. Should be no issues running everything on one battery now. Just something to keep in mind.
