    Recommend a blank..

6-6ish. Extra fast. For hair jigs. 3/16 lightest, 5/16 heaviest baits are what I use. I want sensitive. Max of 6'9 finished rod. I have the equipment to cut down a blank if I need.

I'd like to keep it around $150-175 max

My current blank is a NFC HM 663 and while I like the tip, the butt just isnt enough. I want to try something other than a NFC due to the ridiculous price if they arent on sale

I am wanting to try a Point Blank PB691MLXF for my next rod. I built a MHX Elite X NSJ8225-MHX for my buddy. He seems to be liking well for throwing 2.8 keitech on a 1/8oz head.

I'm also leaning towards the pb69 but unsure of ml or medium.

I have a rod on this blank. Does an awesome job with hair jigs and grubs on 1/4 heads. Don't let the "Walleye" description sway you. This is a great blank.

I got the point blank 6-9 in both medium and ml. Whichever I like best I'll keep, the other is going to a buddy

I have the 6'9 ml, along with many other PB's. You will want to use the medium light for your intended purposes.

Built them both and actually prefer the medium. Itll throw the 1/4 oz jigs I use but I can also use it for heavier stuff in warmer weather. The ml just felt a tiny bit weak for what I'm looking for. Since I mostly use this rod for jigs in bankside Eddie's with overhanging trees, I wanted it a bit shorter (cut it down to 6-4) and I want the power to get fish out of the trees asap

At the blanks full length, I believe I would have liked the ml better

I prefer the faster taper of of the ML for this type of presentation. Power wise, we're only looking at roughly a half power. I'm glad you found a blank that works for you.
