    Gear ratio?

    Checking for a friend. 135 Mariner Opti Serial OG720412. Thanks in advance. Looks like a regular Servicemaster LU.

    Put it in gear and rotate the flywheel until the prop makes one turn. Most likely 2:1, could be 1.87.
    1995 Allison XB-2003 225 Super Mag. It's slow and I'm ok with that.

    Is it the small or large lower unit. Small came in 1.78 and 2.0. Large are almost always 1.87.

    Large. Trophy prop is smaller diameter.

    all 135 should have came with 2:1 per serv manuals/ that number comes back as 1998 3cyl 40hp
