    Question Watts Bar ??

Coming down to Watts Bar the 2nd week of April. Will be my first time on lake. Looking for some info on what the bass will be doing & best place to start looking. Thanks ahead for any help.

Should be bass in all stages of the spawn. Don't overlook the crappie either. Mid-April a good time to fish down here. Hope you have a great trip.

First off ..... I'm not an expert on much of anything.

Watts Bar can be very weather sensitive in April & May. One cold front will shut it down. First time on the lake I would suggest starting on main lake points and work your way back into the shallower water. You should find fish fairly easily if the weather has cooperated. Crankbaits and 4" grubs on 1/4 heads would be a good choice.

I'd suggest the lower end of the lake (from the dam up 2-3 miles) that time of year.

The guys at www.chattanoogafishingforum.com generally post up-to-date lake reports on the area lakes. You may want to browse there a bit or even ask them. Nice bunch of folks.
