    Tackle Jobs near Palatka

Will be down in the area next week. Looking to visit some tackle shops while in the area. Recommendations?

Palatka sucks for tackle shops. You would think there would be a decent one around but there isn’t.

In Central Florida, Bitters's in Longwood and Bookers in Leesburg are the best tackle shops in the area.

RJ's in GCS on 17; Doesn't look like much on the outside, but buy everything he tells you to buy. And bring cash.

Messer's on HWY 19, in Palataka, has pretty much all you will need for the river.
I don't always post or reply but when I do, I...?

Not much at all to be honest with ya , other than Messer's..
Astor Bait & Tackle , but that's a long stretch , probably 50-60 miles , not worth it imo.
And it is one hell of a drive to Bitter's in Longwood.
You'd be better off just ordering soft plastics in bulk from their website. That's what I do ,if the local shops around me don't have them.

Messers on the west side of town is the best shop in Palatka. Jimmy is the owner and one of the nicest guys you’ll meet. He’s got a big selection of zoom, gambler, bitters, bass assassin and other brands. Definitely worth stopping in if you’re in the palatka area. Bassmaster.com recently did an article on the store last week when the elites were in town.
