    Motorguide Katana prop

Does anyone have one on an older 36Vdc Tour yet? Interested in constructive evaluation of the prop performance in heavy grass and noise emission vs the standard 3 blade. You-Boob has the introductory Motorguide promo crap from the OEM and sticker boat bozos that are getting $ and free gear to tell you how good it is. Not buying any of that...

According to my Motorguide parts listing, it is still showing the part number that you have as a non inventory item. This means the prop isn't available through Motorguide/Attwood for resell.

Yes, it'll fit all motorguides with the 3.5" motor.

If the new design is as good as advertised then why not use it on the big motor also?

I stumbled upon them today at my local Cabelas. I purchased one but it may be a few weeks before I get a chance to try it out.

Not sure where they go it, or if it's available. As I said, I'm connected straight to MotorGuide and when I inquire on that part number, it comes back as number not found.

Possibly some type promotion through Attwood. Attwood is the finished goods department of Motorguide. My connection is through the parts department.

Hopefully some one will be able to provide an objective evaluation of the Katana. The design is noteworthy but the sticker boat guys claims are always suspect.

I just ordered one from Anchorexpress. The water should be soft enough to test in about two months....

    Katana.....34.99
    shipping...10.99
    Sales tax....2.19
    Total.......$48.17

There is also a $2 cheaper option on shipping. Sales tax, ?????, I pay because I'm in the same state as A-express. So could be $4.19 cheaper.

Anchorexpress is about 20 miles from my location. It is online order only, and not a brick and mortar store, no pick up location......Still $11.82 cheaper than the Amazon free ship Katana, and I need a new T-motor prop.

2/12/2020, Just received an email update on the Katana from A-express:

    Ticket status: New
    Department: General
Subject: Anchor Express: Update Tracking #72XX

    Hello,

Thank you for your order. Unfortunately, the product(s) you ordered is(are) currently back ordered from the manufacturer. We expect your product to be available in approximately 2-3 weeks. We will ship your order immediately upon receipt and will not charge your credit card until we do.

Please note this is an estimate by the manufacturer and could come in sooner than expected or delayed. We will try to keep you updated if any changes occur.

We have not charged your credit card, it has only been pre-authorized to verify funds. Some credit card companies may show this as a charge on your online statement, but this is just a hold placed by your credit card company. We will process the funds when your order is ready to be shipped.

We apologize for the delay and any inconvenience this may have caused.

    Regards,
    Anchor Express Customer Support
    Sincerely,
    Anchor Express

Got one today. I have not installed it but th area around the prop but is shaped differently than the safari prop I compared it to. It looks like if you use one of the heavy single piece prop nuts this will be incompatible with existing designs. The factory prop nut of course will work fine.

I ordered mine from anchor express also. Just under $44 shipped. Shipped a couple days ago and will be here middle of next week. I was looking for a second prop to keep on hand anyways.

Just installed a new Tour with the katana yesterday. It’ll be a couple weeks before I get to test it but I’ll give you a honest opinion.
