    Bravo 1 vs Turbo OT4

Does anyone have knowledge of how the Bravo 1 4 blade compares to the Turbo OT4?

B1 is 15 in diameter, large barrel, easy to turn, great holeshot, 1-2 mps slower on top end.
TXP-OT4 14 3/8 diameter, small barrel, hard to turn, weaker holeshot, 1-2 mph faster on top end

Thanks Mark. I recently trade my father for a 2008 triton 20x2 with a merc 225. The 26 ot4 runs 67 mph on gps at 5000 rpm. My mazco 26 p 4blade runs 64 at 5400. The 24 trophy turns 5900 at 59 mph. 24 tempest turns 5700 at 61 mph. 10" jackplate has been 4" below ptp up to 0" below ptp. This thing is driving me nuts.

I've ran both on my boat. The TXP was a better prop all around on mine. It slipped some coming out of the hole but so does the bravo. The TXP lost a blade or I'd still be running it. I bought another to replace it and it wasn't near the same prop. I' have no idea what was different but it surged terribly out of the hole where my original one did not.

Bullet XRS, 300xs, 1:62 gears, 26 pitch ran 83 at 6,000 RPM loaded heavy and with 2 people. Never ran it light. I didn't discover that I needed to move some weight around until after that prop broke. I'm pretty sure it would have ran better than that if I had moved some weight back. This boat does not lift the bow like my old boat.

My Old boat was a Bullet 21XD with a 250xs with 1:75 gears with about the same load and it ran 80 at around the same RPM. That boat didn't have a digital tach so it was hard to determine.

I don't ever run my boats light for top end, I just fish.
