    920 Pro to 618 Pro

I have a 2018 920 Pro and looking to downsize to a 618 Pro. It seems that the 618 Pro is something hard to find. Why? Are folks getting the 818 instead? Having a hard time finding a 618.

Reach out to Phoenix and ask them. They always are helpful and will take the time to walk you thru the differences and how they see them fitting into your needs

I've not seen any formal announcement but assume the 818 is the new 18ft boat. Would you not seek the 818 over the 618?

Honestly that sounds like a bad decision as I bet you are really going to miss the 20ft 250hp boat.

I “downsized” from a champion 198 to a 618 and don’t regret it one bit. I don’t use my boat for derbys but it would be more than capable on our lakes. A bigger faster boat is nice to have but for me a 618 was way more practical. I think they are harder to find because they didn’t make as many since the demand today leans toward the 20-21’ 250 hp class.

I just dont fish like I use to. My back wont let me. I would rather go to a 618 or 818 than an aluminum. Yes I think the 818 is the new wider front deck.

I cannot answer your question specifically about the 618. When I was looking for a 18-19ft boat last year, the 618 was hard to find too. I was downsizing from a 20 footer (BCB Cougar) with a 250 and ended up in BCB's 18 footer. It took a little getting used to the smaller boat but I like it now. It is so much easier to maneuver, and tow. I only fish the occasional tournament and it has the plenty of range, speed and storage for what I do. The 618 will be the same for you.

your mind set is good for a 618 or 818. 6 years ago when I got the bug I had a 20ft fish/ski and a 17ft bass tracker. I did a two for one trade to the 618. The alternative I considered was big alum but wanted stability and ride of glass. I also valued the single axle trailer for the garage and carport where I store the boat requires multiple jackknifes to get off the street and more in the garage. The 819 when they had it in a single axle would have gotten my eye but it did not exist when I purchased.

If you’ve ever rode in a 819 or a 919 from the seats forward it’s the same size boat. The 19 1/2’ boats are a foot bigger in the rear deck. The 818 should have the wider front deck. That’s going to make it the best 18 1/2 foot bass boat on the market in my opinion. I would recommend going with the 175 hp motor. You’ll be much happier.

The 618 is a heck of a fishing boat for just about anywhere. Super nimble.

Just learned the 818 is taking the place of the 618. Thats why there is no 618 available.
