Once your on the pad the 26 is awesome, however with my rig - power poles and 4 batteries, the 26 can’t get on plane.

    I run a worked Fury 3 25 & a 4 blade 24.

just picked up a 24 3 blade. Just to see what kind of hole shot it will deliver. it may be a Summer prop for me.

the 25 works well all around.

Bill2e - very interested in what you find with the 24 Fury 3. I have a Ronnie Gilbert worked 25 Fury 3 that is great all around on my 2011 Puma FTD 250xs and all the stuff you have. I picked up a b&b 25 tempest plus for summer and see how the lift is.

My 17 puma, 2 stroke 250, 4 batteries, poles, 112 fortrex came with a 25 fury 3 blade. Best I could get out of it worked was 77.x @5800 a better driver probably could of done better. Keep in mind the 16-18 two stokes are supposedly de tuned. And the puma's are supposed to be a smidge slower than the cougar. I still didnt like the hole shot or low end lift. I usually run the boat half full on fuel. I got a pair of 25/4 blades. I ran those since this summer and usually would see 72-73 around 5800. I decided more recently to try and squeak the rest out, I was able to get 74 a few times and the boat was a handful to drive. I went out recently and lowered the jack plate about 3/8". Water was 50 deg, air temp low 40's. I was able to run a few passes 75-75.5 @5900-5910. Just me in the boat, live wells empty, both tanks half full. Lowering the jack plate also helped alot of steering torque, and chine that would normally show up around 70, does not show up or require driving till about 73. Anyway, I sold my spare 25/4, and now looking for a 26/4 to run in the winter. I would expect it to get 77+. I will also ad my hole shot currently is sub 4 seconds with the 25/4.

    Heres a link of mine.

    so the verdict is in.

the hole shot with the 24 is insane.

very happy. However water was cool.

top end not so good. 70 was about it.

I like the 24, but may stick with the 25 unless fishing where I need to get on plane fast.

Stick with the 25 Fury 3 reworked by Ronnie, It will improve the hole shot and run the same speed as the 26, I have a 25 and 26 done by Ronnie
    Thank You Leon Pugh
