    Braid.....as split rings?....Teach us ole wise one(s)...

I have read/heard about Braid being used as "split rings" on treble type baits (blade, lipless). For the twist so fish do not get the leverage to toss baits. what is the best way to do this?

Some guys that throw BIG swimsuits (4-6oz 8" ) like to use this method as a bait that size can be easily leveraged by a bass. There are a few threads on how to tie them and whatnot over on Swimbait Underground.

I use them on big topwater baits and blade baits. They seem to work very well. Once you learn how to tie one, they are quite simple.

I have used braid on certain jerkbaits to get them to suspend properly with better hooks.
