    250R on 20XDC Prop Question

I just got my new 250R on my 20XDC. Wondering what Props might be players. The motor has been flashed to 325 hp. Sportmaster with 1:75's. I was thinking a 30-32 bravo but I really don't have any idea??? I'll use it primarily for fishing so will be carrying some load.

I dont know what you need but a 32 bravo wont be enough pitch for that combo.

32 at the least I would say. Probably. Not enough for big end runs. Who flashed the motor. Sounds interesting

I have a 21rdc / 300r turning a new PowerTech BRV5 5 blade and it is doing very good. Running low 90's loaded with 2 on board. I have a 30 pitch. They seem to be much stiffer than the Mercury props.

Simons been having the tunes out since the new merc 4 strokes came out. You can go to their site to read about it. I sent them an email about it for my 300R. 25 HP gain and raise limiter to 6700. $975 if you send in your ECU or $1625 if you buy the flash tool and the tune to do it yourself with a laptop.

You don't need a big prop, Lake Ponca isn't that big

Lol, you are correct, lake Ponca isnt that big, not to mention the "30 mph" speed limt....

Thanks for the advise on props. Yes, Simons is the manufacture. I'm not sure if it's technically called a "tune", I use that term because I'm really not sure what its called. My dealer did mine when I bought the motor. 75 hp gain for $1000 is money well spent in my opinion. I've always mod'd my engines and I have never seen a 75 hp gain for $1000

No one around my neck of the woods runs Bullets or a combination anywhere close to mine, so borrowing and trying different props isn't an option. So It'll be a best guess throw a dart at the wall and hope I get close. Clint21rdc, thanks for that info. That's very helpful. You mentioned the PowerTech is a stiffer prop, how much stiffer if you were to guess, does feel like it turns 1-2 pitch's higher than a standard Bravo?
