Too old to stand and too tall to sit

I have a 2005 tr 196 and I can’t hardly stand and run the trolling motor for long. My problem is the seats are to short for me to run the trolling motor. Will an offset pedistale hold my weight. I’m 6 ft 3. And weigh 265 lbs.

Get a taller seat post. Not as tall as you, I'm only 6' 2".

i use a longer seat post in my 196. My neighbor is shorter than you but just as heavy and has been using an offset post in his boat for at least 3 years. It has worked well for him.

You ok if you lean on a butt seat? Our boat came with one with an adjustable pedistal which is nice.

Get yourself a Millenium Palma Horse seat. You can sit on it like a saddle at your height. I'm 6'2" 260 and works for me.

Ditto this, I can hardly get it short enough, but it works for me on the lowest setting.

If you are using a reg folding fishing seat, there is a 15" post available,
then if you put the coil spring on the seat base that attaches to the seat,
this will add another 1.5" This should work for ya. LDS

My last boat I took the stock bass cat post and slid it over the smaller post. It make it just right for me and I'm 6'4.
