I believe it will most likely. If so the Wisconsin 20-21 fishing regulations book will get framed. And there will be cause for celebration.
I have been waiting for this a long time.

I just looked at the 20-21 regs and that rule is now on the page again!!! IT IS OFFICIAL!! Its about time!!!!!
I need to see that page!!! where do I find it? Holy Cow!!!! I'm gonna have to crack a beer man!!! hell yeah. I don't even believe it.
Should give the ice guys maybe a couple extra months of at least getting out. For us "down staters" a chance to chase some early risers if ice goes out early.
Thanks for the link. I just texted a bunch a buddies this. This is great!!!
So basically we are now allowed to C&R for bass prior to the opener which in all reality is maybe 1 month earlier? Am I looking at that correctly?

Yep. Should have been done years and years ago... some years this wont even matter at all but I think this year we'll get a whole month more of season!

I fish through the whole year at local ponds or any open water that is found so being able to use bass lures instead of mini inline spinners for crappie is gonna be great.

About time
Totally jealous of you guys. Hopefully MN now gets off of the archaic regs and follows suite, but I'm not going to hold my breath. It's only been 5 years since we've been allowed to C&R bass on walleye opener (a week after you guys) until bass opener (Mem Day weekend)!
Enjoy the extra time on the water and that awesome pre-spawn fishing!
Nothing is "official" yet, but hopefully it is passed for this year

ATTENTION ANGLERS! The 2020-2021 fishing regulations are pending legislative approval and will likely be available mid to late February. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
It is official. The 20-21 regs go into effect April 1st.
I'm gonna miss having all the lakes to myself during the early spring Jerkbait bite for crappies.
Same!
I would have gone out and caught them anyway. I always did when I lived in MN. I just used a lightweight and crappie jig so I wasn't "Bass Fishing" and made sure to throw a crappie or two in the livewell when I did catch one.
Any word on having tournaments on lakes with size restrictions with a permit?
