Bass Tracker Trolling Motor length

I have a Targa18 combo Deep-V and looking to buy a MinnKota Exterra trolling motor. My current motor has a 60” shaft. Can I save money and get a shorter shaft or should I stick with 60”.

Note: I fish mostly on n calm waters.
