    Plug Wires

    I have a rebuilt assuming 1985 blackmax 150..
    I'm changing out plugs and wires but cant find the replacement wires. They say SAE J557 on the old wires. Anyone know what replacement wires would work?
    Not sure on exact year of the upper unit. I had a 1993 blackmax that failed about 4 years ago, and a guy swapped out upper units for 300 bucks, he said it was like a 1985 year. But not for sure. That's all I know is it cranked and ran.. lol anyhow any ideas on plug wires would be great. Not wanting $75 topmof the line. Just decent set..

    The boss gonna want serial # look in between the heads on Welch plug or behind throttle/timing arm where block halves meet , jay smith sells wires bout 40 a set
