It's hard to imagine where our beloved sport would be without him. In the early days, when his factory burned to the ground, and he had nothing, the Allison family came to his aid. This was clearly in a time when our sport and industry was more gentlemanly. He is gone, but he will never be forgotten.

A Forrest Wood story that he told on himself. He had
a 5 min spot yrs ago between fishing shows, called boating
    safety.
The story as Forrest tells it is about a Pro Am tournament on the Big O. It was
so rough on day one that they called it off and wouldnt let the boats out.
Day two wasnt much better, but they launched. As the Pro and his amatuer partner
was idling out closer to the rough water, the non boater was getting very nervous.
The Pro sensed the situation and tried to reassure his partner by telling him that their boat
would not sink. What makes you think that, askes the amatuer. "Because Forrest Wood says it wont"
Replies the Pro. The amatuer " just who is Forrest Wood"???? LDS
