Anyone know if a new charger can be ordered without a motor ?

Not sure, But I would think you could order one with a Merc and sell the engine and make a little. Charger is going to get a deal on the engine, and I would think sell the hull by itself higher than as a package deal.

Call the plant and ask. I wouldn’t see any reason you couldn’t order without a motor though.
Heck if have a motor and controls already; I bet they would do the rigging for you when building the boat; at a cost of course.

Yes is the answer. Look at Charger Facebook site. About half the boats leaving the factory have no motor.

You can order a boat with no seats no graphs no steering no wires if that’s what you want .Most guys want all the pre wiring done even if they are hooking up their own motor .just go all white and save a few dollars.

If memory served me a 496 bare hull was 30 but that’s been a few years ago.So add a trailer 6500 and motor 18,000 your going to be up there.
