I bought a boat with deka marine masters in it they are 2 yrs old. They are DC 27 200 RC at 23 amps.
Should i keep these or put 2 new interstates at 165 reserve capacity at 25 amps. Am i comparing apples to apples
or am i way off. The ones in there now seem fine, just never had any dealings with the marine master batteries
didnt know how long they usually last.
Well the Deka is 4600 Amp minutes or 76.66 AH and the Interstate is 4125 Amp minutes or 68.75 AH.

You ought to get another year or two out of what you have if they’ve been taken care of. As you’ve noticed, Deka likes to fudge their RC numbers with the 23A deal, so always compare the 25A numbers.

so is the deka a stronger battery or the interstate. Or they the same due to the diff in 23a and 25a rating
The DC27 is 175 minute RC. The SRM-27 Is 160 minutes. The Deka is 3 pounds heavier, which would confirm the Deka being a little larger capacity.Originally Posted by skeeterzx2001

Deka s are better than interstates for sure .
