Chart select maps

Can you purchase and download more than one Humminbird Chart Select map on to an SD card as long as it has enough memory? Want to put 6 to 8 of my most fished lake maps on one SD to use in my Helix G3N units.

I had just added another map to one of my cards before I replied. I then copied it to the FishSmart app on my tablet adding it to the others I have.

If you have an older unit this may be the case. You need to select what unit you have in the downloader tool, that will determine whether it lets you download multiple lakes to your card or only one lake.

Which unit do you have?

I have a Helix 9 Mega+ SI G3N and Helix 9 Mega+ DI G3N so I should be good for multiple lakes.

I downloaded 1 map to a 32 gb card, that consisted of 4 different yrs of sattelite imagery, contour map and smartstrike of a 8,000 acre lake. It only takes up like 3.1 gbs of that 32 gb card. Pretty sure your 9's will accept up to a 32 gb card and thats what size card i would use. JMO.

Can you also save snapshots to a card with chart select maps on it? or will it write over maps? did download 7 lake maps to a 16 gig card and have plenty of memory left.

Yes, snapshots are written to a SNAPSHOT folder.

Helix 12 SI G2N. Pretty sure last time I tried adding a lake to a card that already had a ChartSelect map on it, it was overwritten. I'll have to try it again though!

Just to remind everyone,

High Speed 32 GB Class 10 - Micro-SDHC- made by Amplin can be ordered thru amazon for about 23 bucks.
that's 4 chips and the adaptor, and should handle about anyone's needs. HB's don't like the 64 gb chips, and make sure you get the class 10
100 Micro sec / read write capability.
