    Mercury Four Stroke Height?

I'm searching for the height dimensions (bottom of the skeg to top of cowling) for the Mercury 4-Stroke in a 150HP and 200HP. Would like to know if it'll fit under a garage door. The garage is 81" tall. I can fit a 150HP Optimax with about 7-8" to spare. Does anyone have this info?
    Thank you.

I don't know (nor can find) the specs in overall height...but my 250 v8 ProXS fits under my 81" garage door (as does the 8' power poles) when mounted on my 2020 BassCat Eyra on the trailer. The v6 is certainly shorter...so you should be good.

The V8-CMS engine is right at 3" taller than the 3L (cowling height).

Fully tilted up, it is a little over 5" taller.

Overall, skeg to top of cowling is very close (depending on the two exact models being compared... some exceptions).

My 150 4s is 69 1/2" tall (say 70" to be safe) that's bottom of skeg to top of cowl. But getting it under your garage door is more about your trailer height and how high it's mounted on the transom AND how much tilt you need.

Understood that there is a little more calculus involved but the dimensions area good place to start.
In my current situation I'm trimmed down with about an inch or so skeg to concrete when going under the door. My local(ish) dealer told me that the 150HP, 20" Shaft Pro XS 4-Stroke is 64.5" and the 200 HP variant is 74.5" when he put the tape to it.

Mine is a regular 4 stroke. XL
So yes, you probably want to specify.

The measurement you really need is from top of transom to top of cowl, that’s the one that really matters. If it’s going on the same boat.

My experience with the same boat and trailer different motor. With my Optimax 300XS cleared my garage door at the house by 1/2" (without touching the motor) and my storage unit by a few inches when I trimmed down. With the 300R V8 that is no longer the case. I have to get out of my car and trim the motor down to clear at the house. My storage unit got much worse, I have to lower my jackplate to get it in now as well as trim. As Don mentioned at the stow trim it is much taller.

I have the same issue. I had a 250 optimax and now a 300R. I have to trim it down in the garage but that is because I'm running 1 1/2" above the pad as where with the 250 it was below the pad.
