LOVE my pellet grill. So much more versatile and still easy to use.

Mine is a Pit Boss Pro 820. Can smoke, grill, sear, bake.....

Love my Traeger, but still do most of my grilling on the Webber natural gas grill. No reason other than it's there, it's easy, and natural gas is almost free.

I have a Fire Magic plumbed to natural gas I’ve used for 15 years. No issues. Get hot quickly and I can put charcoal on the burners and finish cooking over that. Best of both worlds.

My Weber N.G. Grill is probably 18 years old, Daymn igniter went out a few weeks ago. Only problem I have had with it.

pellet grill is easy and consistent temp cooking so it's nice. remember when shopping, you get what you pay for and it's very true with grills.

Love my Rec-Tec pellet grill. It does everything I need it to do. The new Weber pellet grill looks promising as well. Pellet grills are easy to use, consistent, pellets are relatively cheap, and the flavor for the simplicity is unmatched (yes, stick and coal burners can give a "truer" smoke).

I have a Grilla Grills Silverback and absolutely love it. Easy to use and a great company to deal with. I would also look at the new Weber as it seems to improve on a few things and, well, its a Weber

Are the Pellet style grills as fast to cook on, as gas? How about cleaning?

I use an Egg, Pellet and gas. Just depends are what you are cooking. The egg gets most of the use, just something about real wood and lump charcoal that take food to another level. All the others are good and have there place.

If you go pellet, make sure you get one that will sear. Not all will sear as the heat is indirect. If I had a choice I'd get the new Weber pellet and get rid of my traeger and weber genesis as it will do the functions of both. Pellets have more cleanup due to ash from the pellets burning, but its easy to vacuum them up. Do not cheap out on the pellet grill either, cheaper ones have poor controllers and are not consistent. I have a Traeger pro 22 which is not a cheap grill, especially when we got it a few years back. Its temp probe says its consistent, but I have run probes on the cooking surface to verify and have swings of up to 36* with varying hot spots. I use my traeger solely for smoking and do my actual grilling on my weber genesis or charcoal right now.

I did a lot of research on gas grills and pellet grills before buying our RecTec. I was nervous because it was something new. But it has been the best decision I have made in a long time. There is no regrets. It heats up just as quick as a comparable size gas grill. You can cook steaks hot and fast or cook long an slow bbq. It is like a grill and oven and a smoker all in one. Its super easy to use. It maintains temp perfectly at the set temp or varies 1 or 2 degrees if any. The new ones are all stainless steel. 304 heavy guage stainless steel. RecTec is comparable in price with Traeger or hi end gas grills. The best warranty and customer service.

This is Sear kits explained. Its what helps a Pellet grill get a bit hotter.

Good video. Read the reviews. RecTec does not have bad reviews.
